Love Travel Adventures is a long-haul boutique tour operator for discerning travellers looking for personal service and something a little bit different.
We’re Heather and Craig Bones, a husband-and-wife team who draw on our experience as travel industry professionals and years of personal globetrotting to create truly unique holiday experiences.
We launched Love Travel Adventures after identifying a need for a much more individual approach to quality, high-end adventure planning that ticks all the bucket list boxes while still remaining comfortably affordable.
As a result, there’s nothing off-the-shelf with Love Travel Adventures: no queuing for a seat on that crack-of-dawn safari bus or waiting in line for your lunch. Our clients prefer to travel as couples, or in small groups drawn from among family or friends, and we build exclusive adventure itineraries to mirror their priorities and bring their dreams to life.
We select our local partners with enormous care — they’ve become our friends as well as our trusted suppliers — and because we know all our destinations inside out we can point clients towards some amazing hidden gems. At the moment we’re focused on creating bespoke adventures of between seven and 21 days in Botswana, Kenya, the Maldives, New Zealand, South Africa, Sri Lanka, and Tanzania and Zanzibar.
Craig
Craig has more than 20 years’ sales and organisation experience in the travel sector and a further 11 years military experience, including as a defence instructor with the RAF Regiment in both Scotland and Germany.
He’s also held a mix of other senior contract and staff leadership, training, and sales roles across a mix of industries, and is an ambassador for the Care for Veterans charity. He’s represented the RAF at rugby, and is involved with his local team in Scotland.
Heather
Heather brings to Love Travel Adventures her extensive teaching experience — she’s survived multiple overseas trips with teenagers! — and her personal understanding of what makes an adventure truly great.
She’s travelled far and wide and by drawing on both her professional organisation and communication skills and her years of global know-how, Heather helps Love Travel Adventures clients transform their wish lists into a holiday they’ll always remember.
